Marja Alofs, chairwoman of the Nijmegen Foundation for the celebration of the centenary birth of Joris Ivens has joined the board of the Foundation. In 1998 she was sworn in as young town councillor in the same council meeting, in which Joris Ivens was made honorary citizen of his native town by mayor Ien Dales . Marja Alofs was among other things an alderman for Culture of the municipality of Nijmegen for six years and she has an consultancy for Trends and Communication.
