Studies in Documentary Film is the first international scholarly journal devoted to the history, theory, criticism and practice of documentary film. Studies in Documentary Film nr. 3.1 contains several articals on Ivens.
Guest editor Sun Hongyun from the Beijing Union University choose articles from auteurs that held lectures during the ’50 years of Joris Ivens and China International Academic Conference’ in Beijing last year. Some of these articles where published before in renowned Chinese film magazines as Film Art and The Contemporary Cinema.
